What is the Synod on Synodality?

On the Journey together!

“In the one People of God, therefore, let us journey together, in order to experience a Church that receives and lives this gift of unity, and is open to the voice of the Spirit,”

Pope Francis

“We have heard the call of Pope Francis, and the Holy Spirit and have jumped in with both feet!

As a lay ecclesial community in the Archdiocese of Port of Spain, in collaboration with our missions throughout the Caribbean, we have been working to put together our response to Pope Francis’ call.
We invite you to participate with us in this process as we move towards a more synodal Church.

How to Participate?

The Pope has invited ALL to be part of this process – no matter if you are Catholic or not!

While there are specific guidelines given by the Vatican for preparing the consultations part of the Synod, each Diocese has their own team to bring the process to the local Church!

If you want your voice to be heard, check out your Diocesan or Parish web page, or call the closest Catholic Church to find out more. If you guidance on where to look, send us a message and we will help connect you!

How will Living Water Community Participate in the Synod?

As a community, we will be hosting Information sessions for those who would like to learn more about the process and purpose of the Synod. Following these information sessions, we will be hosting Consultations. In the Consultation sessions, participants will be invited to reflect on a few questions and then invited to share their experience and reflections with a small group. Sign up below!
